This post brings you the brief audio of the Acknowledgements given by Bobby Briscoe for his book, The Jungle Warriors. As you will hear, Bobby shows the love and affection he had for his mother. As most of us who had been in combat know, the feelings and relationship that we have for our mothers increase tremendously during the ordeal in our overseas tour. Unfortunately, as you will hear, although Bobby's mother knew about the contents of the book, she passed away before the final book was published as a final work. So, too, we all probably give the highest respect and admiration to the mothers of those who have had to suffer combat — especially to the Gold Star Mothers, for it is they who have had to bear the loss of their sons in the combat zone.
